I now have a website by my own name to post blogs….not that I write frequently but I would like to start doing so…Thank youKunal! You’ve been extremely helpful and prompt with this

For people who don’t know much about me… My name is Pallavi Khanna. I’m from Pune and I work as a Manager in Financial Planning with ASK Wealth Advisors Pvt Ltd. My space is Investment Advisory and Planning.

I’ve always been interested in this part of the industry and pursued my way through with citibank first, shifted to AVIVA Life Insurance…then with AXIS and now full-fledged in the investment advisory space with a private ltd firm.

Since it is my first blog, I am only going to write a bit about myself. I love to cook and read. I cook in the morning and evenings…they say cooking is theraputic ,but, not my reason to like it. I try to read but its tough over the weekdays, I would like to pursue some qualitative reading over the weekend. I prefer fiction to non-fiction books. However my Dad always encouraged us to read non-fiction

Since I’ve been in Pune for a good 25 years , I have a huge friend circle here. Friends from school, socities, college, post-grads, office etc….Pune is a great city, was the best a few years back. Greenery, limited population, pleasant weather, good maharashtrian food (most of the north indians don’t relish it…just too bad for ‘em!), helpful people, huge gardens, beautiful temples…most of this has lost its value,but, I still love to live here. Pune is known for its education…its called the Oxford of the east. I don’t agree with it now..Most of the schools here have SSC board and I think CBSE is better.They have more extra-curricular activities.I finished my schooling from St.Josephs High School, Pashan, Convent of Jesus and Mary. Our principal insisted that we introduce our school in its full form. I haven’t got out of that habit yet.Obviously… its tough after spending 15 years in the same school :)….Pursued my grads from Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce a.k.a BMCC a.k.a “Bal Mandir ki Chatak Choriyan”.This one, I got to know of recently…would be the creation of one of the whacky minds that work best when not in the classroom :D…Anyway , spent 5 years in the college…had very interesting times with our seniors in Junior College. Krishnan (the brilliant of the lot), Bajaj, Parchu, lalit, tanya, Kishen (:)) , Shiv….Good Fun ! Post that started working and a year later pursued post grads with SIBM….made a few more friends….Kunal Virmani, Anuj Dhody, Tanvi…I can’t remember more…but these three were the ones I interacted the most with.

Currently, i’m in the mode of studying. I have a few certification to pass through my company. Its tough to get back to studying and I’ve always disliked doing it. However, I have no choice.Besides, its a good thing…I would hence be a qualified Certified Financial Planner !
